Awkwafina
Awkwafina was an American actor and musician. She began by releasing hilarious, intelligently composed rap songs that addressed questions of racial identity as well as sexuality. She then expanded her fans to Hollywood. The actress was born Nora Lum to Chinese and Korean immigrant parents in Forest Hills Queens her first taste of musician life came in the form of the trumpet. Also, she received Jazz and classical training before becoming a hip-hop teenager. In the end, she focused on her education. she graduated with an education in journalism at college and a women's studies degree. After graduating, she began to focus on music. In 2012, My Vag (as a retort to Mickey Avalon's My Dick) became an internet hit and was included on her debut album Yellow Ranger. The other viral hit songs included queef, a body positive track, and the witty NYC Bitchethe hometown tour for $. The latter track connected directly to another project, Awkwafina's NYC a travel guide published in the year 2015. She opted to pursue acting careers after having completed her two previous ventures as a musician and author. Alongside early TV shows like Girl Code and Tawk - she was in films Neighbors 2 Storks and Bad Rap. Her breakout role was in Dude Ocean's 8 as well as Crazy Rich Asians. She released the EP, In Fina We Trust in June of that year.
